The Dutch female fronted rockband In-Tension exists since late 2002. It
is inspired by many varieties in music, like Dream Theater, Pain of
Salvation and Porcupine Tree to name a few. Despite these
influences, the band manages to create an easily recognizable own sound
with elements from progressive rock, gothic rock and metal.
The band recorded their full-length debut album "Fragments" as a
graduation project for the Rockacademy in Tilburg and it was released
independently in February 2004. It has received great reviews by
international rock and prog magazines. After some changes in lineup in spring 2008
In-Tension recorded, mixed and produced their second CD "Transfigure" at their own studio and
released it independently in August 2008.
In-Tension's songs each evoke a unique atmosphere and vary from easy
ballads to crunchy rock and solid metal. Recognizable melody lines
alternate catchy riffs and atmospheric vocal lines, which leads to a
sound that can only be called In-Tension.
